Specs. The JK HD Adjustable Tire Mount Kit from Teraflex is made to be used with the stock hinge or a Teraflex HD Hinged Tire Carrier, which you can buy separately or together as a set. Made from steel, this carrier allows single one-handed entry into the Jeep cargo area. It can be adjusted to fit up to a 35 in. tire (with the stock hinge) or a 37 inch tire (with the Teraflex HD Hinged Tire Carrier), and completely eliminates those frustrating tailgate stresses and rattles. Made by one of the most trusted names in the industry, this is a kit you can count on.
Construction. With threaded mounting holes for mounting accessories like fuel cans, recovery jack, and others, this is simple and easy to install. You use only common hand tools and no drilling is required. You'll appreciate the factory form fitting geometry and finish, plus the CAD-designed tooling that follows the exact compound curvature of the Jeep body. The result is a carrier with OEM appearance. There is no aftermarket bumper purchased required because this carrier works with both OE and aftermarket bumpers.
